Culture is the Common Language of the People of the World
Hojjatullah Ayoubi, Secretary-General of the National Commission for UNESCO in Iran, in an interview with SinaPress, referring to the cultural nature of the country in the international arena, said: "No matter how much attention has been paid to the economy and production on various fields, But the world knows us as the cultural hub of the world. Because we have a rich several thousand years culture with a defensible
civilization and history. Fortunately, today we have shone well in many art fields including cinema."
He added: "Most people in the world know us with rich poetry, literature and culture, and cultural and artistic works. Despite all the ups and downs including problems in paying for UNESCO membership, budget and financial facilities during these years, and many shortcomings, but we have a good recognizing position in the world as most people know Iran as the center of science, education, and culture."
According to Ayoubi, our country has no serious competitors in creating works of art and cultural industries, especially in the Middle East. In fact, Iran has the highest record in cultural heritage. For example, we have registered only 54 monuments in UNESCO. In general, most people in the world recognize Iran as a country with deep and rich culture.
Ayoubi called culture the common language of the whole world and said: "I believe that culture is a language that everyone understands and attracts a large audience from all over the world. In fact, like music, art and its branches do not need a translation. But the problem arises where those who want to speak this language are not in the decision-making process."
"In the past few years, we have held a calligraphy exhibition in Tajikistan, which was a collection of the most prominent works of Iranian calligraphers," he said. "I well remember that Tajikistan Minister of Culture mentioned the day of the resurrection of Persian culture on the day of the exhibition. After a few months, the Minister announced the teaching of Persian language and script in schools in Tajikistan."
The Secretary-General of the National Commission for UNESCO of Iran said about the activities of the National Park of Soft Sciences and Technologies and Cultural Industries: "This organization can create a new transformation in all cultural and artistic industries and has the ability to revive and renew the country's culture. I believe that by combining technology, the field of handicrafts and arts and culture can gain popularity in the international arena. The National Park of Soft Sciences and Technologies and Cultural Industries is a place that can assist culture and creative industries and be a communicating bridge both domestically and internationally."
Referring to the importance of the media in promoting science and culture, he said: "Today, the world receives a great influence from the media, in fact, the main rulers of the world are the media; It is also very important to popularize and generalize science. People should benefit from science, and the media has an important responsibility in doing so."
